I’ll be home for fall

Opening the windows to feel the cool, invigorating breeze, breaking out my long, fuzzy robe, the smell of simmering soup, wistful moments – This season quietly sneaks up on us then leaves too soon. So take it in. Enjoy every nuance.

These are just a few of the ways we enjoy the season in our home…

  • After you’ve cleaned out your pumpkin, separate the seeds by squeezing the guts of the pumpkin with your hands. Save the seeds for roasting. It’s slimy, aromatic fun.
  • Go to the farmers market to get the freshest fall vegetables. Try something new.
  • Eat outside. There’s never been a better time.
  • If you’re crafty, use what you can find and get gluen’! Have no shame.

Here’s a link to some outdoor markets to get you outside http://www.visitgainesville.com/shopping/outdoor-markets/

Stop by my office and say hi when you’re at the Haile farmers market! 5213 SW 91st Terrace Ste A, Gainesville

How do YOU enjoy the season?

  1. I love gold lights, fall wreaths, feeling the breeze, pumpkins, closing my eyes and remembering piles of raked leaves and then jumping in, the smell of dried leaves, pumpkin pie, wearing sweaters, Vivaldi’s four seasons…autumn.

  2. Lovely expression of Autumn! And heh, love the “have no shame” when it comes to crafting. So true, you need that kind of abandon to get it right!
